Here are some local community groups and organizations that provide resources and supports to Autistic individuals and their families, to help them live better lives.

Autism Ontario – Hamilton-Wentworth Chapter

Provides information and supports to the families of Autistic children, teens, and young adults.

STRIVE Adult Autism Services, Autism Centre
Salvation Army Lawson Ministries Hamilton

Provides a hub for learning and growth for Autistic adults in the community with a supportive environment enabling adults to connect to their own communities by providing vocational, recreational and learning opportunities.

Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services

A residential program with specialized supports for Autistic adults. Family involvement is an important part of their philosophy. They use ABA informed strategies to assist Autistic adults in achieving their goals – to learn new skills to help them be as independent as possible. A strong component of the program involves social and recreational opportunities most days of the week.
